Get ready for a spooktacular evening at North Myrtle Beach’s Halloween BOOnanza! On Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex transforms into a Halloween wonderland. This family-friendly event, organized by the city’s Parks and Recreation Department in collaboration with Coastal Carolina University’s Leadership class, offers a variety of activities including magic shows, marshmallow roasting, games, inflatables, and trick-or-treating. Admission is $5 for ages 3 and up, free for younger children.

Boofest! Kids and Pets Costume Contests

Barefoot Landing is the place to be if you’re looking for Halloween fun! From 12pm-4pm at the Dockside VIllage Stage, we’re conjuring up a cauldron of fun with Boofest! costume contest for pets and kids! Prizes will be given to first, second, and third best costume in each category. In between  contests, you can witness an insane fire show, an uplifting balloon show, and more. At 7pm, bring the family in the Dockside Village to enjoy a free showing of Hocus Pocus, a Halloween classic!

Trick or Treating at Barefoot Landing

Barefoot landing is the biggest shopping and entertainment hub in North Myrtle Beach. Each October, you’ll find this complex transformed into a Halloween dream offering exciting trick-or-treating experiences for families. Dress your family in your finest Halloween costumes and grab your candy buckets to head out along the Intercoastal Waterway. This event will take place on October 31 from 5-8pm. Flavors of Fall

The Flavors of Fall festival is a celebration of delicious fall favorite recipes from local restaurants in North Myrtle Beach. This is a family friendly event, but for the adults, you’re welcome to upgrade your flavorful exploration to taste fall flavored alcoholic beverages along Main Street! Flavors of Fall is like its own delicious scavenger hunt where you’ll be equipped with a tasting map, check-in treat bag, and more! The registration deadline is October 15th at 2pm. You’ll meet at Flynn’s Irish Tavern parking lot to check in and grab your items. This event takes place November 2 from 11am-3pm. Happy hunting!

Little River Shrimp Festival

The Little River Shrimp Festival returns for another year! Not too far from here, the historic Little River Waterfront hosts an exciting tradition full of live music, balloon artists, stilt walkers, and more. Learn about local community organizations over fresh, local seafood dishes prepared by local waterfront restaurants in Little River. Fall Live Music Series

At Barefoot Landings, the Fall Live Music Series takes place at the Dockside Village Stage every Friday and Saturday for the month of October! On Friday nights from 5-8pm, you’ll enjoy music from bands like Doc Simmons Band,Tastes Like Chicken, We Saw a Bear, and more! Between 2pm and 5pm on Saturday afternoons, you’ll hear some great bands as well with Stringwood, Dune Fox Duo, and Band on Fire. So, grab a lawn chair, a cold drink from one of your favorite Barefoot Landing restaurants, and make memories at the Dockside Village Stage!
